Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Chef/Carvery Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and presenting delicious, high-quality meals with a focus on carvery and hot food offerings. Your enthusiasm for food preparation, cooking, and delivering exceptional dining experiences will help create a welcoming atmosphere for our guests. This position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your culinary talents while maintaining the highest standards of food safety and kitchen efficiency.

Duties

Prepare and cook a variety of meats, vegetables, and accompaniments for the carvery station, ensuring consistent quality and presentation
Manage daily food preparation tasks, including portioning, garnishing, and ensuring freshness of ingredients
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area in compliance with food safety regulations
Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory management to ensure availability of ingredients
Serve hot meals efficiently while providing friendly and attentive customer service
Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during busy periods
Follow all health and safety guidelines to uphold a safe working environment for staff and guests

Skills

Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a fast-paced restaurant or hospitality setting
Strong knowledge of kitchen safety practices and food hygiene standards
Excellent skills in meal preparation, including carving meats and assembling dishes with precision
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
Good communication skills to coordinate with team members and serve guests effectively
Familiarity with restaurant operations, including serving procedures and customer service expectations
A genuine passion for culinary arts with a focus on quality presentation and flavor
