Full job description

Hinckley Motor Spares is a family‑run motor factors business, proudly serving the local community and garages for over 10 years. As our trade customer base continues to grow, we’re looking for a reliable and friendly Delivery Driver to join our team.

This role is ideal for someone with a positive mindset, a natural smile, and a genuine desire to build great relationships with our customers. Attention to detail and pride in your work are essential.

Key Responsibilities

Pick vehicle parts from the shelf ready for delivery
Organise parts in the correct order for efficient delivery routes
Communicate your delivery route with the team
Deliver parts quickly and efficiently using one of our company vans
Follow our delivery and returns protocol (WhatsApp Delivery Chat)
Collect customer returns and complete the returns book/returns process
Take cash and card payments when required
Support with occasional paperwork and front‑counter service
Drive safely and courteously, following the Road Traffic Act and company procedures
Report any licence endorsements or pending prosecutions immediately
Keep the vehicle clean and carry out weekly checks (oil, water, battery, lights, tyres, fuel)
Report any new vehicle damage promptly
Assist with general warehouse duties, including goods‑in, checking deliveries, and putting stock away
Support management with any additional tasks when not delivering
Heavy lifting is required

Hours

Monday to Friday: 9.00am – 5.00pm
One Saturday per month: 9.00am – 4.00pm
Contracted hours: 25–45 hours per week
Hours may be reduced during quieter periods or at management discretion

Skills & Experience

Clean Full UK Driving Licence
Previous van driving or similar experience preferred
Ability to lift heavy items and carry out physical tasks
Age 25+ (insurance requirement)
