Job Overview

We are seeking a vigilant and dedicated SIA Security Guard to uphold safety and security across our premises. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining a secure environment by monitoring activities, preventing loss, and ensuring the safety of staff, visitors, and property. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will help create a safe, welcoming atmosphere while deterring potential threats and incidents. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to serve as the frontline protector of our organization’s assets and people.

Duties

Conduct regular surveillance using CCTV systems to monitor activity across the premises and identify any suspicious behavior or security breaches
Perform loss prevention measures by observing and intervening in potential theft or vandalism incidents
Control access points by verifying credentials of employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors to ensure authorized entry
Respond promptly to security alarms, incidents, or emergencies, coordinating with emergency services when necessary
Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, incidents, and security checks to ensure accurate record-keeping
Carry out routine patrols of the facility to identify hazards or security vulnerabilities and report findings accordingly
Provide first aid assistance when required, ensuring immediate response to minor injuries or health concerns

Skills

Strong surveillance skills with experience operating CCTV systems effectively
Knowledge of loss prevention techniques to minimize theft and property damage
Ability to remain alert and attentive during long shifts while maintaining a professional demeanor
Excellent communication skills for clear reporting and interaction with team members and visitors
Basic first aid certification to handle minor medical situations confidently
Familiarity with security protocols, emergency procedures, and incident documentation
Ability to respond quickly and effectively in high-pressure situations
