Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering excellent customer service and creating a welcoming atmosphere for all customers.

Both Weekday & Weekend availability and work is essential to the role.

This role involves preparing and serving a variety of beverages, maintaining high standards of food safety, and ensuring the smooth operation of the coffee shop during busy periods. Previous experience is advantageous but not essential, as full training will be provided. The position offers an opportunity to develop skills in food preparation, serving, and time management within a dynamic environment.

Duties

Prepare and serve a range of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialised drinks
Ensure all food safety standards are adhered to at all times
Take customer orders accurately and efficiently, providing excellent service with a friendly attitude
Operate the POS system with basic maths skills
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of workstations, including cleaning equipment and utensils regularly
Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met
Manage multiple orders during peak times, demonstrating effective time management skills
Restock supplies and organise stock to ensure smooth daily operations
Engage with customers to create a welcoming environment and promote our products

Skills

Knowledge of food safety procedures and hygiene standards
Previous barista experience is highly desirable but not essential; training will be provided for those new to the role
Experience in serving customers in a fast-paced environment
Ability to prepare food and beverages efficiently while maintaining quality standards
Strong organisational skills with excellent time management abilities
Friendly, approachable manner with good communication skills
Ability to work well under pressure during busy periods
