Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Motor Mechanic to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of vehicles and equipment. This role offers an excellent opportunity to utilise your mechanical expertise in a dynamic environment, ensuring optimal performance and safety standards are met. The position involves working with a range of tools and technical systems, providing valuable services to our clients and supporting the smooth operation of our fleet.

Duties

Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles and machinery to identify faults or issues
Repair and replace faulty components using hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment
Interpret technical schematics and mechanical diagrams to guide repairs and assembly processes
Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, brake servicing, tyre replacements, and system checks
Assist with the assembly of new vehicles or equipment as required
Carry out welding tasks to repair or modify metal parts and structures
Maintain detailed records of repairs, maintenance activities, and parts used
Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and company standards
Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs and maintenance procedures clearly to clients
Handle heavy lifting safely when manoeuvring parts or equipment

Skills

Proficiency in reading technical schematics and mechanical diagrams
Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues effectively
Experience using hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment for repairs and assembly
Skilled in performing maintenance tasks across various vehicle types and machinery
Competence in welding techniques for metal repairs or modifications
Ability to interpret technical instructions accurately and work independently or as part of a team
Good organisational skills to manage multiple repair jobs efficiently
Excellent customer service skills to communicate clearly with clients about repair processes
Physical strength for heavy lifting tasks and manual handling of parts or equipment
