Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking enthusiastic and customer-focused Café Team Members to join our vibrant team. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering excellent service, preparing a variety of food and beverages, and maintaining a welcoming environment for all customers. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food service, strong organisational skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting.

Duties

Prepare and serve a range of hot and cold beverages, including coffee and speciality drinks, ensuring high quality standards are met.
Assist with food preparation tasks such as assembling sandwiches, salads, and snacks.
Take customer orders accurately and efficiently, providing friendly and attentive service.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the café area, including counters, tables, and equipment.
Ensure compliance with food safety standards at all times.
Handle cash transactions accurately using the till system.
Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth daily operations.
Support team members during busy periods to deliver seamless customer service.

Requirements

Previous barista experience is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate.
Knowledge of food safety standards is essential to ensure hygiene and safety protocols are maintained.
Experience in serving customers in a fast-paced environment is preferred.
Basic maths skills are necessary for handling transactions and managing stock levels.
Strong time management skills to prioritise tasks effectively during busy periods.
Ability to work well within a team whilst also demonstrating independence when required.
A friendly attitude with excellent communication skills. This role offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills within a supportive team environment while delivering exceptional service to our customers.

Pay: £12.21-£13.64 per hour
