Trainee Parts Assistant (Temporary with a View to Permanent)

We are looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Trainee Parts Assistant to join our busy Parts Department. This is a full-time temporary position with the opportunity to become permanent for the right candidate.

This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop a career within the parts and service industry, working with a supportive team in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Receiving and booking in stock deliveries
Allocating stock within the Ibcos management system
Putting stock away and maintaining organised storage areas
Distributing parts to customers and workshop jobs
Processing invoices and related paperwork
Ordering stock and assisting with regular stock takes
Serving customers at the trade counter and handling telephone enquiries
Taking customer payments when required
Identifying and sourcing parts using the latest parts software
Maintaining a clean, tidy, and safe stores environment
Carrying out general housekeeping duties within the department

Requirements

Good organisational skills and attention to detail
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Basic computer literacy
Willingness to learn and develop new skills
GCSEs or equivalent qualification preferred

Job Details

Schedule: 8-hour shift
