What you will be doing:

Responsible for ensuring the safety and security of hotel guests and staff during the night

Use your expertise to always deliver a first-class service to all guests.

Ensure a minimum of 3 security walks are carried out on each shift, with emphasis on fire safety and overall security of the building

Conducting the nightly audit to close the day's business and liaise with the accounts team to ensure accuracy

Complete end-of-day activities including posting charges to accounts, running night audit backup, and roll the date reports

Maximise room occupancy at best rates and use up-selling techniques to promote hotel services and facilities

Understand and demonstrate correct procedures regarding the acceptance of credit cards and cash in accordance with the hotel credit policy

Represent the General Manager and other senior managers in their absence, taking full responsibility of the hotel

Manage, record and promptly resolve issues or emergencies that arise

Demonstrate current knowledge of hotel products, services, pricing and policies, as well as knowledge of the local area

Act in accordance with all security and emergency procedures and manage the instigation of these, as required

Compile adequate handover to Early staff / Duty Manager

Attend appropriate training courses, when required, and assist with the Night Team's training and development efforts

Act in accordance with policies and procedures when working with front of house equipment and property management systems

Conduct annual and mid-year Appraisals with Team Members

What we are looking for

A warm and genuine individual who enjoys putting people first

Team first attitude and good leadership skills

Experience of managing a front office team, ideally in a similar sized minimum 4-star branded hotel

Financial awareness

Ability to work under pressure in a challenging environment

Commitment to delivering a high level of guest service

Positive attitude and exceptional communication skills

Flexibility to respond quickly and positively to a range of work situations
