Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems across various projects. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong electrical background to contribute to diverse infrastructure developments while working in a safe and professional environment. The successful applicant will possess a keen eye for detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Duties

Install, test, and maintain electrical wiring, systems, and fixtures in accordance with safety standards and regulations.
Troubleshoot electrical faults using appropriate diagnostic tools and methods.
Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams to guide installation and repair work.
Use hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, wire strippers, and multimeters efficiently.
Operate power tools including drills, saws, and other specialised equipment safely and effectively.
Ensure all work complies with current electrical codes and safety legislation.
Conduct routine inspections of electrical systems to identify potential issues before they develop into faults.
Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and clients to ensure timely completion of projects.
Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used for each project.

Skills

Proven experience working as an Electrician with a solid understanding of electrical systems.
Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools essential for electrical installation and maintenance tasks.
Strong knowledge of electrical codes, safety standards, and best practices within the industry.
Ability to read technical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams accurately.
Excellent problem-solving skills with the capacity to diagnose issues efficiently.
Good organisational skills to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while adhering to deadlines.
Effective communication skills to liaise with team members and clients professionally.
Valid qualification or certification in Level 3 Electrical Engineering or equivalent, AM2 is required. Ideally Electrical Test & Inspect qualification is preferred.

Pay: £18.00-£22.00 per hour
