Are you passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of children and families? West Berkshire Council is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Intervention Worker to join our Children and Family Services team. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a supportive and collaborative environment, where you can contribute to the delivery of high-quality interventions and support for our local community.

About the Role

As an Intervention Worker, you will report to the Assistant Team Manager and play a crucial role in providing effective interventions to children and families in need. Your key responsibilities will include:

Delivering timely and appropriate interventions to address the identified needs of children and families.
Working collaboratively with other professionals to ensure a coordinated approach to support.
Conducting assessments and reviews to monitor progress and evaluate the effectiveness of interventions.
Providing advice, guidance, and support to families to promote positive change.
Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records in accordance with organisational requirements.

About You

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and attributes:

Experience working within a similar role, providing interventions to children and families.
Sound knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and best practices.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to identify needs and develop appropriate intervention plans.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
