About this Role

We are looking for a Cover Supervisor to join our team here at Skegby Junior Academy!

We are seeking a Cover Supervisor to join our team to deliver high-quality learning. This role involves covering classes during planned and unplanned absences, including PPA, managing pupil behaviour, and ensuring a positive learning environment to enable every child to be the best they can be, everyday!

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver pre-prepared lessons and maintain classroom discipline.
Liaise with teachers and senior leaders to ensure continuity of learning.
Provide 1:1 mentoring and targeted support to improve pupil attainment.
Monitor and report on pupil progress and behaviour.
Assist with all aspects of the school day when classroom cover is not required.

A dynamic and enthusiastic classroom practitioner.
Someone who is passionate about making a difference to the everyday lives of our pupils.
Someone with experience of cover whole classes within KS2.
Strong organisational and communication skills.
Effective behaviour management skills.
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of pupils.
A proactive, flexible approach and willingness to support attaining great outcomes for our pupils.

Qualifications/Certifications:

Must be educated up to GCSE grade C/4 level in English and mathematics, have a level 3 Teaching Assistant Qualification or equivalent experience.
