JOB DESCRIPTION - Youth Leader (You must be 18 or over)
Location: Frogmary Green Farm, South Petherton
Pay: £13.52
Reporting To: Provision Manager
Start Date: Between the 20th and 27th July, depending on candidate availability
Closing Date: 11:59pm Sunday 7th June (we reserve the right to extend or shorten this date)
Interview Date: Thursday 11th - Satuday 13th June
(this is a very tight turn around to ensure we can get checks processed in time)
Hours: You will work either Full Days, Earlies or Lates. This will involve starting as early as 7:45am and finishing as late as 5pm. We do have some wiggle room with times for the right candidate.

Your holiday entitlement will be based on the hours you work and meets the legal requirement.

Rama Life is an innovative not-for-profit, year-round education centre that aims to build self-esteem, confidence, and well-being through skill development, teamwork, and activities that meet educational, emotional, mental, and physical needs.
Our skilled and experienced team provide a space where young people can learn together in a positive environment, with the understanding that everyone has different needs and learns differently. We offer holiday clubs, home education groups, weekend and evening youth and family sessions and alternative provision.
Rama Life operates from a beautiful and relaxing location in purpose-built premises with both indoor and outdoor spaces in South Somerset, just five minutes from the A303.

- Keep our premises safe, tidy and clean.
This job is for you if:
- You are skilled, passionate and enthusiastic with a love for being outdoors.
- You are resilient, reliable, committed and flexible.
- You have experience working with young people
- You are comfortable and capable working with young people from 4yrs - 12yrs
- Have a good understanding of what is meant by neurodiversity, the forms that can take and how it affects learning styles.
- You are creative and able to support interesting activities.
- You enjoy supporting people in building skills, discovering more about themselves and enjoying the safe and fun environment that you will have helped create.
- You are interested and capable of instruction in a range of educational areas.
- You are a self-starter and able to do jobs that need doing without being asked.
- You are non-judgemental and compassionate
- You are very organised.
- You have your own transport.
- You will be able to provide sensible leg wear and shoes for activities.
- You can provide contact details for two references who will provide you with a full (qualitative) reference that supports what you tell us about yourself.
This is not essential - but we are especially interested in hearing from you, if you:
- Hold a qualification in youth work, teaching, tutoring or childcare
- Have a specialist skill or subject area that would be beneficial to young people
