Full job description

We are looking for a highly organised and detail‑driven Estimating Coordinator to join our Central Operations team. In this role, you will prepare accurate quotations, manage estimating data, and support the Supply Chain Category Manager in maintaining supplier and subcontractor performance.

You will play a key part in ensuring orders are processed correctly, efficiently, and in line with business and client requirements.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong administrative experience, great communication skills, and the ability to work at pace in a busy operational environment.

Primary Duties

Prepare accurate quotations and cost estimates in line with contract requirements and SLAs.
Handle, validate, and quality‑assure large volumes of data.
Prioritise workload to ensure all quotations, estimates, and approvals are completed on time.
Maintain accurate quotation data and system records.
Produce reports on quotation status, approvals, and cost information.

Support Duties (as required)

Raise orders for parts or services at the best price and within agreed timescales.
Engage subcontractors promptly to meet SLAs and KPIs for reactive and PPM works.
Maintain and update purchasing software with accurate values and cost allocations.
Confirm timely receipt of goods and services by updating purchase order records.
Update systems with ordering, receiving, shipping, and subcontractor progress.
Resolve supplier issues relating to orders and deliveries.
Work proactively with the Supply Chain team to prevent issues escalating.
Support subcontractors and suppliers in correctly using internal processes and systems.
Assist with resolving invoice queries to reduce aged supplier debt.
Keep subcontractor and supplier documentation, data, and reports accurate and up to date.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the department.
Support the department in achieving internal KPIs and objectives.
Ensure all work complies with company policies, procedures, and ethical standards.
Respond promptly to business and client requests.
Represent the company professionally and build strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and subcontractors.
Undertake any other duties as required by the leadership team.

Qualifications

Minimum of 5 GCSEs (A–C), including English and Maths.

Knowledge & Skills

Strong administrative background.
Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Ability to learn and operate specialist software.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong analytical abilities and comfortable working to deadlines.
High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Able to work independently and as part of a team.
Exceptional organisational skills.
Outstanding customer service and stakeholder management capability.
