Overview

Join our dynamic culinary team as a Junior Sous Chef, where your passion for food and leadership skills will shine! In this energetic role, you will support the head chef in managing kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of food quality, safety, and presentation. This is an exciting opportunity to develop your culinary expertise, supervise food production, and lead a talented team in a fast-paced hospitality environment. Your enthusiasm and dedication will help create memorable dining experiences for our guests every day.

Responsibilities

Assist the head chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations, including food preparation and cooking processes
Supervise and motivate kitchen staff to maintain high standards of food safety, cleanliness, and efficiency
Manage food production to ensure timely delivery of quality dishes that meet presentation standards
Support team management by training new staff and providing ongoing coaching to enhance skills and teamwork
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations across all kitchen activities
Contribute to menu planning by offering creative ideas and ensuring ingredient availability
Serve as a role model for professionalism, hospitality, and culinary excellence during service hours

Experience

Proven supervising experience in a busy kitchen or restaurant setting
Strong background in food production, cooking techniques, and food preparation methods
Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively
Extensive kitchen experience with knowledge of culinary best practices and food safety standards
Previous restaurant experience that highlights your ability to work under pressure in a hospitality environment
Familiarity with serving procedures and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction
Passion for culinary arts combined with excellent communication and organizational skills

Pay: £14.00-£14.50 per hour
