Full job description

Administrative Assistant – Full Time

We are looking for a full-time Administrative Assistant to join our small, friendly office team.

We are a long-established local Electrical Contracting business, trading for over 25 years, and we pride ourselves on being a reliable, down-to-earth company with a strong team around us. Our office is a relaxed, non-corporate environment, and we are looking for someone who is happy to work as part of a small team where everyone helps each other out.

The role is varied and would suit someone who is organised, reliable, and comfortable working in a busy office where no two days are the same.

Responsibilities

Answering and directing phone calls
Checking and responding to emails using Microsoft Office
General administrative duties to help keep the office running smoothly
Maintaining the electronic diary / scheduling system
Liaising with customers and clients to arrange work
Allocating jobs to engineers, often in a fast-paced environment
Data entry onto Sage software
Issuing invoices and quotations using Sage software
Photocopying, scanning and general clerical tasks
Helping with any other office duties as required

Skills & Experience

Previous experience in an administrative role is essential
Good computer skills and accurate data entry
Confident telephone manner and good communication skills
Organised and able to manage several tasks at once
Able to work well in a small team
Experience in the construction / electrical trade would be an advantage
Experience using Sage would be helpful but not essential

About the role

This is a full-time position working in a small office with a friendly team.
We are looking for someone who is reliable, willing to get involved, and happy to work in a hands-on environment rather than a large corporate office.
