Job Overview

Join our dedicated team as a Community Support Worker, where your compassion and hands-on care will make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals requiring assistance with daily activities. In this vital role, you will provide personalized support to seniors, individuals with disabilities, or those recovering from illness, fostering independence and enhancing their quality of life. Your energetic approach and commitment to caregiving will help create a safe, respectful, and nurturing environment for those in your care.

Duties

Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
Provide medication reminders and administer medications following prescribed protocols
Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and preferences
Support patients with light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment
Engage clients in social activities and behavioral management techniques to promote mental well-being
Drive clients to appointments, errands, or social outings as needed, ensuring safe transportation
Monitor health status, report changes promptly, and collaborate with healthcare professionals for optimal care plans

Requirements

Prior experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or home care environments is highly preferred
Knowledge of patient care practices including dementia, Alzheimer's, hospice, and senior care is essential
Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional caregiving certifications are a plus
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle physical tasks associated with caregiving duties
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record for transportation responsibilities
Strong communication skills with a compassionate attitude towards clients of all ages including children when applicable
Flexibility to work varied shifts including evenings or weekends as needed
