Full job description

At Origin Catering, we believe every great event is built on fresh food, genuine hospitality and an exceptional team behind the scenes. Rooted in the flavours of Norfolk and Suffolk, we bring seasonal produce, bold tastes and beautiful presentation to weddings, corporate events and private celebrations.

We’re looking for enthusiastic and reliable staff who take pride in creating memorable experiences, delivering outstanding service and being part of a team that takes pride in delivering seamless service from set up through to the final farewell.

This is an exciting opportunity to join us as part of our Events Team.

Contract type: Zero hours contract

The role includes:

Event set-up, including laying tables and preparing for an event day
Greeting guests in a friendly and professional manner
Offering drinks and canapés to guests
Serving food and clearing plates
Supporting bar service, including serving beverages and assisting with bar operations as required
Event clear down, including carefully packaging of event décor, and preparation for the next event
Assisting the Wedding Planner and Team Leader in any event specific requirements
Working as a team to provide exceptional customer service
Any other duties reasonably requested

*Main duties and responsibilities are subject to shift patterns

Requirements:

As the majority of our events are weddings, the right candidate must have the strong understanding that we assist each couple in making their day the best it can be.
Previous experience in a customer facing role.
Strong problem solving skills and a proactive mindset.
Experience working in a fast paced, busy environment.
Willing to undertake bar training and support bar service duties as required.
Access to private transport to be able to travel to the venues.
