Senior Aesthetic Therapist
Part time - 3 evenings per week, 20-30hrs pw
Job summary
We are looking for a confident and enthusiastic therapist to perform treatments in our facial bar and clinic. Initially part-time with hours to be agreed but covering 3 evenings a week. You will need to be passionate about skin and have a proven track record in up and cross-selling skincare and other treatments.
When not performing treatments, you’ll be helping ensure that the business runs smoothly including answering calls, making bookings, admin tasks and creating content for social media.

ASKINOLOGY is the UK’s first (and award winning) facial bar in the City of London near Bank and Liverpool St stations. Across 3 levels, we also house a cosmeceutical boutique and a 3 room laser and aesthetic clinic.
ASKINOLOGY was founded by Dr Askari Townshend who has 20 years’ experience in aesthetics including training and speaking both nationally and internationally.
Since 2015, we have won 3 major awards including Best New Clinic UK & Ireland and Best New Practice London. Last year, we were Highly Commended for Best London Clinic.

What do we do
In the clinic, treatments include a brand new, top of the range Fotona Dynamis Max laser (Er:YAG and Nd:YAG) for scarring, texture, tightening, broken veins and rejuvenation. A Lumenis Duet for hair removal, Secret RF (RF microneedling), microneedling and peels (including Cosmelan).
Our Facial Bar offers a range of peels (including TCA), Hydrafacial and LED mask.

The great news is that we do not open on weekends and currently have no plan to but you will be required to work 3 evenings per week - our peak demand is later in the day.
Your development is important to us, so fantastic training is offered on a regular basis including from Dr Askari himself. We understand that to get the best, we need to pay well and we offer a great bonus and commission structure for all and a generous annual allowance for clinic treatments.
Key Responsibilities
· Perform facial, laser and other advanced treatments to a high standard and complete client product recommendations.
· Ensure high customer satisfaction with exceptional customer service.
· Upsell treatments and courses in addition to skincare products.
· Have a good general knowledge of all the treatments and products we offer in order to sell and answer client questions.
· Meet personal sales targets / KPIs.
· Using initiative to solve client problems and answer requests.
· Maintain accurate client records, both digital and paper. Ensuring that client paper files are stored in alphabetical order .
· Answer client enquiries in person, by phone and email in a professional manner with exceptional customer service.
· Accurately book & manage appointments and manage the diary to maximise efficiency of clinic time.
· Check out clients, take correct payment and rebook appointments.
· Open up / close down the clinic and recording important messages/problems from the day.
· As part of a team, ensure that the clinic is always perfectly presented, clean and tidy.
· Escalate important problems to management and maintaining good communication with the team.
· Assist other team members and management in other duties necessary for the smooth running of the clinic.
· Ensure that any client complaints or adverse incidents are immediately reported to management.
· Participate in open days and other marketing activities.

· Good commercial awareness and comfort with working to targets
What qualifications do you need?
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in laser hair removal
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in the aesthetics industry
- NVQ Beauty Level 4
- Minimum C Grade - English & Math's GCSE
- Experience in advanced treatments e.g. radio frequency, micro-needling desirable.
