Full job description

The role

We are looking for a capable, organised Administrator to keep our day-to-day operations running smoothly. This is a hybrid role with genuine flexibility over when you work, which makes it well suited to someone balancing other commitments who still wants work with purpose behind it.

You will be handling sensitive information about children and families, so accuracy, discretion and reliability matter far more here than speed.

What you'll be doing

Managing inboxes, correspondence and enquiries, and making sure nothing is missed
Coordinating diaries, meetings and appointments across practitioners and external partners
Setting up and maintaining case files and records, with strict attention to confidentiality and data protection
Producing, formatting and proofreading reports, letters and documents to a professional standard
Typing up notes and minutes, and tracking actions through to completion
Supporting compliance administration — for example, checking records are complete and prompting for outstanding paperwork
Maintaining accurate spreadsheets and trackers, and preparing simple reports as required
General administrative support to the team as the service develops

What we're looking for

Essential

Demonstrable administrative experience in a busy, deadline-driven environment
Strong written English, with a good eye for accuracy and detail
Confident with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel) and comfortable learning new systems
Well organised, able to prioritise your own workload and work independently without close supervision
Sound judgement around confidentiality, and an understanding of why data protection matters in this setting
A reliable home working set-up with a private space suitable for handling confidential information, and a stable internet connection

Desirable

Experience in children's services, social care, education, health or another safeguarding environment
Familiarity with case management systems or electronic record keeping
Minute-taking experience
A recent basic DBS certificate (issued within the last 12 months)
