Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and professional Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining patients' oral health through preventive care and education. This position offers an excellent opportunity to work within a supportive team environment, utilising advanced dental technology and techniques. The role requires a commitment to providing high-quality patient care while adhering to all health and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

Perform dental prophylaxis, including scaling and polishing of patients’ teeth to prevent decay and gum disease
Conduct oral health assessments and provide personalised oral hygiene instructions to patients
Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with practice protocols and data protection laws
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, dietary advice, and preventive measures

Requirements

recognised qualification as a Dental Hygienist, registered with the General Dental Council (GDC) or equivalent regulatory body
Proven experience working as a Dental Hygienist in a clinical setting is desirable
Strong understanding of human anatomy, particularly oral and maxillofacial structures
Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate patients effectively
Commitment to maintaining high standards of infection control and patient confidentiality
Ability to work flexibly within practice hours, including occasional participation in training sessions or professional development programmes

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: £40.00-£45.00 per hour
