Full job description

Job Summary

Based out of our Lichfield or Ludlow Office you will join a team specialising in all aspects of building from work on scheduled monuments to the restoration of Georgian and half-timbered houses.

As expected for a company with over 200 years of experience we have undertaken varied works covering all sectors, size and scope providing only the highest possible level of quality and workmanship.

Your role will be to understand and communicate the philosophy of the company, ensuring the client’s expectations are realised at all times and to ensure contracts are carried out on time, on budget, to the highest quality and to complete client satisfaction.

Duties

Manage all aspects of contract administration, including tracking deadlines, deliverables, and compliance requirements using tools like Microsoft Project and Microsoft Excel.
Collaborate closely with site managers, Quantity Surveyors, administrative staff and directors to ensure seamless communication and alignment on contractual obligations.
Develop and continually monitor project timelines and resource allocation plans utilizing Microsoft Office Suite applications such as Word, Outlook, and Project.
Produce risk assessments and method statements in conjunction with the contract team and subcontractors to implement strategies to mitigate potential issues proactively.
Maintain organized records of all contracts, amendments, correspondence, and related documentation for easy access and audit readiness.
Ensure all contracts comply with relevant legal standards, industry regulations, and company policies while adhering to strict deadlines through effective time management.

Qualifications

Proven experience in contract management within the construction or project management sectors.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
Excellent negotiation skills combined with clear communication abilities to build relationships.
Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), and other IT tools essential for effective contract oversight.
Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of construction processes, legal standards related to contracts, and risk management practices.
Valid driving license required for site visits or client meetings as needed.
