We are looking for an energetic and vibrant lunch time assistant/ cleaner to support our nursery at Crazy 4 Kids Radstone in Brackley.

What Do We Need From You -
- A passion for children and making a difference - No formal qualification or experience is required for this role, however a desire to work within the Early Years environment, and a willingness to be creative and think on your feet is a must!
- 12 hours paediatric first aid - All staff hold a current certificate, however if this has expired, this training is offered as part of the initial core package.
- Relevant safeguarding/child protection training - This is also offered as part of the core training package, if required, but a willingness to update training regularly is a must.
- Undertake the relevant food safety training - For this role, food hygiene training isn’t just recommended—it’s essential. It ensures you have the knowledge and skills to handle food safely, maintain strict hygiene standards, and protect the health of the children and staff. By completing this training, you’ll help us stay compliant, uphold our reputation, and act with confidence and care
- Safer eating – we play a vital role in keeping the children in our care safe at mealtimes. This means always following hygiene rules, checking for and managing allergens, preparing and storing food correctly, and keeping eating areas clean. By working together, we make sure every child enjoys safe, healthy, and happy mealtimes
- Passion for cleanliness and organisation – We’re looking for someone who takes pride in creating and maintaining clean, well-organised environments. Hours of Work/Salary Information
12pm-5pm Monday – Friday (25 hours) all year round, £16,523.00 annual income
Purpose of the Post
Supervise and support nursery children during the lunchtime period in an environment that is clean and meets appropriate Food Safety / Hygiene standards at all times. Undertake the daily cleaning of the nursery, ensuring thorough cleanliness throughout.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Provide lunch cover for staff lunches and supervise the children during the lunch period
- Help nursery children with a variety of tasks, including cutting up their food
- Follow our food hygiene and safer eating policies and procedures
- Be aware of children/ staff with allergies or specific dietary concerns, making relevant adjustments to food items
- Communicate with Nursery Manager / Owner on how to make improvements to the lunchtime period
- Clean the kitchen and Nursery areas, to maintain high hygiene standards
- Support with play activities and supervision during the lunchtime period
- Undertake relevant training for the role as identified in performance management meetings
- Attend monthly staff meetings
- To ensure a safe working environment in the nursery at all times
- Carry out any other duties within the range and scope of the post that may be required in order to meet service demands
