Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head Chef to lead our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of food preparation, ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety, and presentation. This role offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your culinary expertise in a dynamic hospitality environment, managing kitchen operations and inspiring your team to deliver exceptional dining experiences.

Duties

Lead and supervise the kitchen team, fostering a positive and productive working environment
Oversee food production, ensuring dishes meet quality and presentation standards
Develop innovative menus in collaboration with management, incorporating seasonal ingredients and current culinary trends
Manage food safety protocols and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
Coordinate food preparation and cooking activities to optimise efficiency during service hours
Monitor stock levels, order supplies, and manage inventory to minimise waste
Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, promoting professional development and skill enhancement
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area in accordance with hygiene standards
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery

Requirements

Proven supervisory experience within a busy restaurant or hospitality setting
Extensive culinary experience with strong skills in food preparation and cooking techniques
Demonstrable leadership abilities with excellent team management skills
In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
Experience in food production, menu development, and kitchen operations management
Strong understanding of hospitality service standards, including serving procedures
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work under pressure during peak times
Previous restaurant experience is essential; hospitality qualifications are advantageous
A passion for culinary excellence and a commitment to delivering outstanding customer experiences
