Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team. As a Barista, you will be responsible for crafting high-quality beverages and providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment. Your role will involve not only preparing coffee and other drinks but also ensuring that our café maintains a welcoming atmosphere for all customers.

Experience with food preparation is also desirable.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the café area, ensuring all equipment is clean and functional.
Assist with food preparation, including pastries and light snacks, while adhering to food safety standards.
Manage time effectively to ensure prompt service during busy periods.
Engage with customers, taking their orders accurately and providing recommendations based on their preferences.
Handle cash transactions and maintain accurate records of sales.
Monitor inventory levels and assist in restocking supplies as needed.

Skills

Strong time management skills to efficiently handle multiple tasks in a busy environment.
Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions and calculating change accurately.
Knowledge of food safety practices to ensure compliance with health regulations.
A helpful attitude towards customers and team members, fostering a positive work environment.
Experience in food preparation is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided.
