Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Fabricator/Welder to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of welding techniques and fabrication processes, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. This role involves the assembly and fabrication of metal components using various welding methods, primarily TIG welding, and requires proficiency in using both power and hand tools.

Responsibilities

Fabricate and assemble metal structures and components according to specifications.
Perform TIG welding on various materials, ensuring high-quality welds that meet industry standards.
Utilise sheet metal techniques for the production of parts and assemblies.
Operate power tools and hand tools safely and effectively to complete fabrication tasks.
Conduct inspections of completed work to ensure compliance with quality standards.
Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
Collaborate with team members to improve processes and resolve any fabrication challenges.
Apply basic maths skills for measurements and calculations during the fabrication process.

Requirements

Proven experience in welding and fabrication, with a focus on TIG welding techniques.
Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand technical drawings and specifications.
Proficiency in working with sheet metal and assembling various components.
Familiarity with operating power tools and hand tools relevant to welding tasks.
Basic maths skills for accurate measurements and calculations.
A commitment to maintaining safety standards in the workplace.
Excellent attention to detail, ensuring high-quality workmanship in all tasks undertaken.
