Overview

We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive culinary experience, and a dedication to delivering exceptional food quality and service. Duties

Lead and supervise the kitchen team to ensure efficient food production and high standards of quality.
Prepare a variety of dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards.
Oversee all aspects of food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness within the kitchen environment.
Manage food inventory, order supplies, and control wastage to optimise resources.
Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service delivery.
Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
Develop new menu items in collaboration with management, incorporating seasonal ingredients and current culinary trends.
Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.
Assist in managing restaurant operations during busy periods or staff shortages as required.

Skills

Proven supervising experience within a professional kitchen setting.
Extensive background in food production, preparation, and cooking techniques.
Strong team management capabilities with excellent leadership qualities.
In-depth knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices.
Experience working in restaurants or hospitality environments with a focus on customer satisfaction.
Competence in food presentation and plating skills to enhance visual appeal.
Ability to work under pressure whilst maintaining attention to detail.
Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
