Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Fabricator/Welder to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating and welding metal components with precision and efficiency, ensuring high-quality standards are maintained. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong mechanical aptitude and experience in welding and fabrication processes. The position is paid and suitable for those looking to develop their skills within a dynamic environment.

Duties

Operate various welding techniques, including TIG welding, to assemble metal components according to technical specifications.
Use hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment to cut, shape, and assemble sheet metal and other materials.
Read technical drawings and blueprints to determine dimensions and fabrication requirements.
Perform basic measurements and calculations using mathematical skills to ensure accurate fitting of parts.
Conduct quality checks on finished products, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
Assist in the setup and maintenance of welding equipment and fabrication machinery.
Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently while adhering to safety protocols.

Skills

Proficiency in TIG welding and other welding techniques relevant to <LOCATION> welding standards.
Strong knowledge of fabrication processes, including working with sheet metal and assembly of components.
Experience using hand tools, power tools, and specialised welding equipment.
Mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and quality assurance tasks.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work while maintaining safety standards. This role is ideal for motivated individuals eager to apply their welding expertise within a professional setting that values craftsmanship and precision.
