Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a skilled Motorhome Converter/Fitter to join our dynamic team. This role involves transforming standard vehicles into fully customised motorhomes, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship and attention to detail. The successful candidate will play a vital part in delivering bespoke conversions that meet client specifications and safety standards. Prior experience in vehicle fitting or carpentry is advantageous, but a strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn are essential.

Duties

Assemble and install various internal fixtures, fittings, and appliances within motorhomes, following detailed plans and specifications.
Use hand tools and power tools to cut, shape, and secure materials such as wood, metal, and composite panels.
Conduct heavy lifting of components and materials safely to facilitate installation processes.
Perform modifications and adjustments to ensure proper fitment of all elements within the vehicle structure.
Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects while maintaining high standards of quality.
Inspect completed work for defects or issues, making necessary corrections before finalising the conversion.
Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.

Skills & Experience

Solid mechanical aptitude with a practical understanding of vehicle systems, including 12V/240V electrics, plumbing, gas installations, and structural fittings.
Confident use of hand tools (screwdrivers, wrenches, chisels) and power tools (drills, circular saws, jigsaws, sanders) to a safe and competent standard.
Ability to follow build specifications to deliver accurate, high-quality results.
A keen eye for detail and a pride in craftsmanship — from precise panel cuts to clean, professional finishes.
Physically capable of handling demanding installation tasks, including heavy lifting, working in confined spaces, and sustained periods of kneeling or overhead work.
Self-motivated and well-organised, able to manage your own workload and prioritise tasks effectively across multiple builds.
A positive mindsetwith the ability to work within a close-knit team.
An eagerness to develop your expertise and take ownership of your work.

Working Hours :- Monday to Thursday 07:30am till 17:00pm and Friday 07:30am till 12:45pm

Pay: From £13.50 per hour
