Overview

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Tandoor Chef to join our vibrant culinary team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing authentic tandoori dishes with precision and flair, ensuring each creation meets our high standards of quality and flavour. Your expertise in food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen management will contribute to delivering an exceptional dining experience for our guests. This position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your culinary talents while leading a dedicated team in a dynamic hospitality environment.

Duties

Prepare a variety of traditional tandoori dishes, including meats, vegetables, and bread, using the tandoor oven with skill and consistency
Supervise food production processes to ensure timely and efficient service during peak hours
Manage and train kitchen staff on proper food preparation, safety standards, and cooking techniques specific to tandoori cuisine
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, adhering strictly to food safety regulations
Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, placing orders as needed to ensure uninterrupted service
Collaborate with restaurant management to develop new menu items and improve existing recipes
Serve as a leader on the kitchen floor, demonstrating excellent teamwork, leadership, and hospitality skills to motivate staff and enhance guest satisfaction

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Tandoor Chef or similar culinary role specializing in Indian or South Asian cuisine
Supervising experience in a busy restaurant or hospitality setting
Strong knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices in commercial kitchens
Demonstrated ability in food production, food preparation, and cooking techniques specific to tandoori dishes
Excellent team management skills with the ability to lead by example and foster a positive work environment
Previous restaurant experience with a focus on hospitality and customer service excellence
Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced setting

Pay: £35,000.00-£38,000.00 per year
