Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Beach Cleaner to join our team at Porthmeor Beach on a seasonal basis. This role involves maintaining the cleanliness and safety of the beach environment, ensuring it remains an attractive and welcoming space for visitors. The successful candidate will possess a keen eye for detail and will need the occasional ability to think and work on their initiative.

Responsibilities

Regular cleaning of the beach area, including litter collection, waste disposal, and ensuring public facilities are tidy and functional
Cleaning and upkeep of the public toilets on the beach
Maintenance of beach infrastructure such as pathways, benches, and signage
Landscape maintenance
Assisting with construction or renovation projects related to beach facilities or landscaping features
Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations at all times

Experience

Prior experience in landscape maintenance
Familiarity with construction or general maintenance work will be beneficial
Ability to work independently or as part of a team in outdoor settings

This role is ideal for individuals passionate about outdoor work, environmental stewardship, and maintaining beautiful coastal spaces. The position requires physical stamina, practical skills in maintenance tasks, and a positive approach to teamwork. Applicants should be prepared to work outdoors in varying weather conditions while delivering high standards of cleanliness and upkeep at Porthmeor Beach.

Pay: From £13.00 per hour
