Job Overview

Morecambe Care Limited is committed to providing the highest standards of person-centred care across our 4 care homes. We are seeking a versatile assistant to support our kitchen and housekeeping teams, ensuring a warm, clean, and safe environment where residents can enjoy quality meals and a comfortable home.

This means you will have a direct impact on our residents, visitors, and staff.

You will need a caring nature, personable approach, and good practical skill. You should be reliable and have attention to detail. ensuring the home, laundry and kitchen are always cleaned to a high standard.

Responsibilities

Kitchen Support: Assist with food preparation, serve meals, prepare light snacks, and assist residents at mealtimes as required.
Dining & Refreshments: Set up dining rooms, provide refreshments, clear away after meals, and return cutlery/crockery to the kitchen.
Cleaning & Hygiene: Maintain high hygiene standards in line with Food Hygiene Regulations and IPC guidance. This includes cleaning kitchen surfaces, floors, dining areas, bedrooms, and bathrooms to minimize infection risk.
Laundry Services: Collect, wash, iron, and label residents' clothing and ensure linens are clean and well-maintained.
Regulatory Compliance: Adhere to Care Quality Commission standards, ISO certifications, and Health & Safety legislation.

Qualifications & Skills

Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
Kind, caring, and professional nature.
Reliable with strong attention to detail.
Previous experience in a care or cleaning environment is preferred.

Pay: £12.71-£13.50 per hour

Work Location: In person
