Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking a professional and friendly Hotel Receptionist to join our team. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere. This role involves managing guest check-ins and check-outs, handling reservations, and assisting with guest inquiries to guarantee a memorable stay. Prior experience in hospitality is advantageous, but a positive attitude and excellent communication skills are essential.

Duties

Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with check-in/check-out procedures
Manage reservations efficiently using the hotel management system
Respond promptly to guest inquiries both in person and via telephone, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette
Provide information about hotel facilities, local attractions, and services to enhance guest experience
Handle guest requests and resolve any issues promptly to ensure satisfaction
Maintain accurate records of guest details and billing information
Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance teams to ensure rooms are prepared and well-maintained
Process payments securely and issue receipts as required
Uphold the hotel's standards of hospitality and professionalism at all times

Skills

Multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly desirable to assist diverse guests effectively
Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on courteous phone etiquette
Previous experience in hotel reception or guest services is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for suitable candidates
Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Friendly, approachable demeanour with a genuine passion for hospitality and guest satisfaction
Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle challenging situations diplomatically
Knowledge of hotel management software systems is advantageous but not essential

Pay: £12.21-£13.01 per hour
