Opportunity: Form F Assessor - East Midlands

About us:

The Children’s Family Trust (CFT) is a well-established Registered Charity and an Independent Fostering Agency. We provide a wide and varied range of foster placements and have historically specialised in long term ‘Family for Life’ placements.

We firmly believe our Foster Carers are our most valuable resource deserving the highest levels of support and remuneration we can offer. We work in partnership with Local Authority Social Workers committed to keeping our children safe and secure in stable and loving families. Plus we are an Ofsted Outstanding agency!

Due to continued success and growth we are now recruiting for Independent Form F Assessors to join us on a self-employed basis.

Key Responsibilities

Compiling the assessments and supporting material by the agreed deadline and presenting the completed assessment to panel.
Completion of Form F assessments within the relevant timescales, all visits are in person.
Undertaking visits to referees as identified on the application form for prospective Foster Carer(s).
Provision of regular updates to the Registered Manager regarding the completion of the Form F.
To be willing and available to present completed Form F’s to The CFT’s fostering panel and provide guidance and support to the applicants through this process.

Skills and experience:

To undertake this role, you will be required to have a minimum of the following qualification levels:

A qualification relevant to the post, such as BSC Social Work
You should have previous experience in assessment work and completion of Form Fs
Registered with Social work England
This role is subject to a clear enhanced DBS check, satisfactory references and overseas checks if relevant.
You must be able to visit prospective carers and their referees in their own home.

What you'll get in return:

We pay £2,500 upon successful completion of each Form F Assessment.

You will also be reimbursed for mileage at a rate of 45p per mile.
