Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Tyre Fitter to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for fitting, repairing, and maintaining tyres on a variety of vehicles, ensuring safety and quality standards are met. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a keen eye for detail and a strong work ethic to develop their skills within a professional environment.

Responsibilities

Remove and replace tyres on passenger vehicles, commercial vehicles, and light machinery using appropriate hand and power tools
Inspect tyres for damage, wear, and punctures, and advise on repairs or replacements as necessary
Balance tyres to ensure smooth operation and minimise vibrations during vehicle movement
Use specialised equipment to fit tyres securely onto rims and ensure proper inflation levels
Maintain cleanliness of work area and equipment after each job
Assist with the storage and organisation of tyres and related tools in the workshop
Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times during tyre fitting procedures

Requirements

Mechanical knowledge or experience in tyre fitting or similar roles is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate
Proficiency with hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, and tyre levers is essential
Ability to operate power tools safely and effectively
Physical strength to perform heavy lifting of tyres and related equipment regularly throughout the shift
Excellent attention to detail to ensure tyres are fitted correctly and safely
Good organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently in a busy environment
A valid driving licence is advantageous but not mandatory

Pay: £641.86 per week
