Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Part-time Bookkeeper to join our team. This role offers flexibility and the opportunity to work in a professional environment, the ideal candidate will possess strong organisational skills and experience with various accounting software programmes. This position is perfect for individuals seeking part-time employment with the potential for growth within our organisation.

Duties

Maintain accurate financial records using accounting software such as Xero
Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely processing of invoices and payments
Reconcile bank statements and ledger accounts regularly to ensure accuracy
Assist with payroll processing and employee expense reports
Support year-end closing procedures
Monitor financial transactions to identify discrepancies or irregularities

Experience

Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role within a professional setting
Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero or FreeAgent is essential
Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, particularly accounts payable and receivable
Excellent organisational skills with high attention to detail
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a part-time capacity
Prior experience with payroll processing is advantageous but not mandatory
Good communication skills and the ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information

Pay: £14.00-£16.00 per hour
