Join our team as a Finance Supervisor

Are you a finance professional looking for your next opportunity in a busy, varied and rewarding environment?

We are looking for a Finance Supervisor to join our Accounts, Payroll and Personnel team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is organised, commercially aware and confident working across a broad range of financial functions, while supporting the smooth and effective operation of the organisation.

You will play an important role within the finance function, overseeing day-to-day activities and ensuring that our financial and employee records remain accurate, compliant and up to date.

About the role

As Finance Supervisor, you will have a varied and hands-on role, working closely with colleagues across the organisation. You will be responsible for supporting and maintaining a range of key financial processes and will have day to day support from our external company Accountants.

Preparing and maintaining accurate employee payroll records.
Producing financial and management reports to support effective decision-making.
Completing accurate income reconciliation.
Maintaining accurate sales and purchase ledgers.
Ensuring accounting records are complete, accurate and maintained to a high standard.
Supporting the preparation of management accounts.
Supporting the preparation of and submitting VAT returns.
Maintaining accurate records.
Working collaboratively with departments across the organisation to ensure financial information is accurate and timely.

This is a role where attention to detail really matters. You will be trusted with confidential and commercially sensitive information, so a high level of professional integrity, discretion and reliability is essential.

What we're looking for

We are looking for someone who is confident working in a busy finance environment and who can manage competing priorities while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.

You will have:

Level 2 AAT qualification or equivalent.
GCSE Grade 4 in English and Mathematics desirable.
Knowledge of Xero Accounts System, or similar
Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accurate financial records.
Strong written, communication and IT skills. Microsoft products
The ability to build effective working relationships across different departments.
Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
A high level of confidentiality, integrity and professional judgement.
The ability to work independently while also contributing positively to a wider team.
A flexible and proactive approach to your work.
A full, UK driving licence.

Experience of payroll, management accounts, VAT returns and financial reconciliation would be particularly advantageous. On going training and support will be available
