Job Summary

The jobholder will assist in the overall implementation of care as part of the multi professional team. The jobholder is expected to deliver and maintain high standards of acute and planned care. The jobholder will be skilled in taking appropriate action(s) to achieve the planned outcome.

The jobholder will contribute to the maintenance of an environment for effective care.

The jobholder will be expected to practice in accordance with Leeds Teaching Hospital NHS Trust (LTHT) policies, guidelines, standards and statutory requirements and operate within defined competency boundaries.

The jobholder will work within a ward or clinical department.

What you will bring to the role

The Neurosurgery Department provides a comprehensive service for the diagnosis and treatment of disorders affecting the brain, skull, spine and nervous system. The department provides both planned and emergency services for a large variety of general neurosurgical conditions.

L24 is a 32 bedded female Neurosurgery ward. The ward manager is Senior Sister Rebecca Trafford.

L25 is a 32 bedded male Neurosurgery ward. Four beds on L25 form the High Observation Unit (Hobs). The ward manager is Senior Sister Shelley Keane.
