Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Paramedic to provide urgent medical care and support in emergency situations. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care, ensuring safety during transportation, and collaborating effectively with healthcare teams. This role offers an opportunity to utilise your specialised medical skills in a fast-paced environment, contributing to saving lives and improving patient outcomes.

Duties

Respond promptly to emergency calls and assess the medical needs of patients at the scene.
Provide advanced life support, including airway management, CPR, and defibrillation.
Administer injections, medications, and other treatments following established protocols.
Conduct thorough physical examinations and vital sign assessments.
Utilise comprehensive knowledge of physiology and anatomy to inform patient care decisions.
Maintain aseptic techniques during procedures to prevent infection.
Document patient information accurately and comprehensively in accordance with legal and organisational standards.
Safely operate emergency vehicles, ensuring timely arrival at healthcare facilities while adhering to road safety regulations.
Assist with triage in mass casualty incidents or high-pressure situations.
Perform heavy lifting when necessary to move patients or equipment safely.
Ensure all medical equipment is properly maintained, sterilised, and ready for use at all times.

Qualifications

Valid registration as a Paramedic with recognised healthcare authorities.
Proven experience in critical care settings or hospital environments is highly desirable.
Demonstrated proficiency in basic life support (BLS) and advanced life support (ALS).
Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, and anatomy.
Experience with medication administration and injection techniques.
Familiarity with aseptic techniques and infection control procedures.
Excellent patient care skills combined with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
Valid driving licence suitable for operating emergency vehicles safely.
Physical fitness capable of handling physically demanding tasks such as heavy lifting and prolonged standing or walking. This role is ideal for motivated individuals committed to providing exceptional emergency medical services in a dynamic environment, contributing positively to community health outcomes through expert patient care.

Pay: £25.00-£30.00 per hour
