Edges is looking for a passionate and skilled Pizza Chef to join our small, growing team as we have opened our very first site in Leeds!

From our humble beginnings in 2024 popping up in a gazebo across Yorkshire to our 2025 summer residency at Leeds best bar ‘Green Room’, we’ve now found a home under an arch in LS11. Founded by Edge and Grace after a few trips to NYC, we are obsessed with the East Coast-style pizza and wanted to bring it to our hometown, Leeds. If you love dough, baking, and the hustle of a busy kitchen, we want to hear from you.

The Role

We're looking for a key team member to grow with us. You will have a direct impact on our menu and the quality of the pizza that leaves with every customer.

The concept is simple, we sell 18” rounds. But we make sure it’s the best it can be. We’ve kept our standards high from day one, through every market and pop-up, and that consistency is why people keep coming back to us. Since we run on pre-orders, the focus is entirely on the quality of the bake and how we treat our customers.

We are incredibly busy and growing fast, so we need someone who can jump straight in, confident in their pizza skills, and ready to work hard alongside us.

Schedule & Pay

Hours: We are looking for both part-time and full-time staff.
Schedule: Wednesday - Sunday (afternoon till evening shifts). We are looking to recruit multiple people to the team; weekend work is required, but because we are expanding the team, you won't have to work every single weekend.
Location: Holbeck, LS11, Leeds.
Pay: Dependent on experience and can be discussed at interview, starting from £13.75/hour

What We’re Looking For

You need to be confident enough in your skills to hit the ground running from day one. While experience with New York-style pizza specifically isn't required, passion for baking and pizza is a must. We hold a 5-star hygiene rating and care very much about maintaining our exceptionally high standards. Our ideal candidate has:

Solid knowledge of dough management, bakers’ percentages and fermentation processes.
Confidence working a pizza oven and managing a bake in a fast-paced environment.
Highest standards of hygiene and strict adherence to Food Safety standards (up to date food hygiene certificates required).
Someone who remains calm, organised, and positive during a busy service.
A desire to contribute to our menu and experiment with the best Italian and English ingredients.
A genuine, friendly face for our customers. We want people who enjoy what they do!

Your Responsibilities

Daily preparation of all sauces and fresh ingredients.
Stretching, topping, and launching 18” pizzas during service.
Managing the oven.
Managing accurate stock levels.
Maintaining equipment and ensuring the kitchen is spotless and safe.
Collaborating with us on seasonal menu specials.
