Job Overview

We are seeking a vigilant and dependable Security Officer to ensure the safety and security of our premises, staff, and visitors. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring surveillance systems, preventing loss, and responding promptly to emergencies. This role offers an opportunity to work in a professional environment dedicated to maintaining a secure atmosphere for all.

Duties

Conduct regular patrols of the premises to deter unauthorised access and identify potential security breaches
Monitor CCTV systems continuously to observe activity and detect suspicious behaviour
Respond swiftly and appropriately to alarms, incidents, or emergencies, including administering first aid when necessary
Enforce loss prevention policies by observing and preventing theft or vandalism
Maintain detailed logs of security activities, incidents, and observations
Assist visitors and staff with enquiries in a courteous manner
Collaborate with law enforcement or emergency services when required
Ensure all security equipment is functioning correctly and report any faults or issues

Skills

Proven experience in surveillance and loss prevention techniques
Proficiency in operating CCTV systems and other security technology
Knowledge of first aid procedures with relevant certification preferred
Excellent observational skills with attention to detail
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle stressful situations professionally
Organised with the ability to complete detailed reports accurately
Physically fit to patrol the premises and respond quickly to incidents

This role is ideal for individuals committed to maintaining safety standards within a professional environment. Candidates should possess a keen eye for detail, excellent judgement skills, and a proactive approach to security.

Tuesday - Saturday

0900 - 1900

Sunday

1100 - 1600

Pay: £13.00-£14.00 per hour
