Full job description

Join Our Busy Sales Team

We are currently looking for a motivated and customer-focused Full-Time Sales Consultant to join our busy showroom team.

Previous furniture or retail sales experience is preferred but not essential, as full training will be provided for the right candidate. We are looking for someone with a positive attitude, excellent communication skills and a genuine desire to provide outstanding customer service while achieving sales targets.

The successful applicant will be smart in appearance, confident, approachable and professional, with the ability to build rapport with customers and understand their individual requirements.

Flexibility is essential, with Saturday or Sunday working required.

Key Responsibilities

Maximise departmental sales by identifying customer requirements and matching them to the products and services we offer.
Develop and maintain excellent product knowledge to confidently advise customers and maximise sales opportunities.
Welcome and assist customers in a friendly, professional and helpful manner.
Complete all relevant sales documentation accurately and efficiently.
Maintain an awareness of stock availability and communicate any stock-related issues appropriately.
Assist with maintaining the showroom and department, including displays, ticketing and stock replenishment.
Ensure the sales area is presented to a high standard at all times.
Develop a strong understanding of our IT systems and use relevant tools and systems effectively to answer customer queries and support the sales process.
Work as part of a successful team to achieve company objectives.

A good communicator with the ability to build strong customer relationships.
Organised and accurate with good attention to detail.
Confident using computers and willing to learn new IT systems.
Flexible regarding weekend working.
Previous sales or furniture experience is advantageous, but full training will be provided.
