Salary: £15,505 per annum (not pro rata)
Hours: 30 hours per week | Monday to Friday | 8.00am – 2.00pm
Contract: Permanent | Term Time Only

What You'll Be Doing
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout classrooms, offices, communal areas and washrooms.
- Dust, vacuum, mop and clean furniture, fixtures, fittings and school facilities to an excellent standard.
- Clean toilets, sinks, showers and other sanitary areas, ensuring they remain hygienic and fully stocked.
- Empty bins, dispose of waste safely and replenish consumable items such as soap, paper towels and toilet rolls.
- Identify and report any maintenance issues, faulty equipment or Health & Safety concerns promptly.
- Monitor cleaning supplies and notify the Operations Manager when stock requires replenishing.
- Follow all Health & Safety procedures and cleaning regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
- Work flexibly across the school, taking pride in creating a clean, safe and welcoming environment for everyone.
About You
We're looking for someone who is:
- Experienced in cleaning within a school, commercial or similar environment (preferred but not essential).
- Takes pride in delivering consistently high standards of cleanliness and presentation.
- Happy to undertake physical duties, including lifting, moving equipment and working across different areas of the school.
- Reliable, organised and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Proactive, using initiative to identify tasks that help maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Aware of Health & Safety requirements and committed to following safe working practices.
- Trustworthy, professional and able to maintain confidentiality at all times.
- Committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
- Hold a Full UK Driving Licence
About Us
Falkland House School is an independent residential and day school for boys from primary to aged 18 years. Our pupils have a range of additional support needs, primarily Autistic Spectrum Condition. We were the first independent school in Scotland (outside of the NAS) to receive accreditation from the National Autistic Society. All of our pupils are able to access a mainstream curriculum, but not in a mainstream environment.
For over 19 years, Options Autism has provided specialist care and education for children, young people, and adults with autism, complex needs, and learning difficulties.
