Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Practitioner to join our vibrant early childhood education team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop your management and leadership skills within a supportive setting, contributing positively to children's development and learning.

Duties

Plan, organise, and deliver engaging activities tailored to the developmental needs of children in accordance with nursery policies and early childhood education standards.
Supervise and support children throughout their daily routines, including play, mealtimes, and rest periods.
Foster a warm, welcoming atmosphere that encourages children's curiosity and independence.
Maintain accurate records of children's progress and daily observations.
Collaborate with colleagues to ensure the smooth running of the nursery and uphold high standards of childcare.
Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding children's progress and any concerns.
Assist with the organisation of nursery events and activities.
Ensure health, safety, and hygiene procedures are consistently followed.
Support the management team in implementing policies related to child welfare and safety.

Qualifications

Proven experience working with children within a nursery or childcare setting.
Strong understanding of early childhood development principles and practices.
Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team whilst demonstrating initiative.
Relevant childcare qualifications such as Level 3 Diploma in Childcare or equivalent are required
Passionate about early childhood education with a caring and nurturing approach.
Organised, reliable, and able to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently.

This role is ideal for individuals committed to making a positive impact on young children's lives while developing their professional skills within a supportive nursery environment.

Pay: From £12,296.00 per year
