Customer Care Advisor

Location: Five Oak Green
Hours: Full Time, 45 hours per week
Salary: Competitive (TBC)

About the Role

Alpha Wholesale is seeking a proactive and customer-focused Customer Care Advisor to join our busy sales and customer care team. Reporting to the Customer Service Manager, this role is key to delivering an excellent experience for our customers while supporting the wider sales function.

This is a great opportunity for someone with a confident telephone manner and a genuine passion for customer service, who thrives in a fast-paced sales environment and enjoys building strong relationships with customers.

Key Responsibilities

Answering all incoming sales line calls promptly and professionally.
Accurately inputting orders into INTACT IQ to maintain workflow and meet delivery standards (SLAs).
Upselling when appropriate to support business growth.
Resolving simple enquiries personally, escalating to Account Manager level only as a last resort.
Engaging in telesales activities and actively hunting for new sales opportunities.
Managing customer accounts effectively and building long-term relationships.
Following up on sales leads and customer enquiries to ensure satisfaction and repeat business.
Managing quotes efficiently and in a timely manner.
Calmly and efficiently escalating complaints and issues when necessary.
Working closely with Sales, Operations, Warehouse, Drivers and Finance teams to ensure a seamless customer experience.

Skills and Experience

Essential

Excellent telephone technique and manner.
Dedication to customer service excellence.
Aptitude for understanding practical and technical matters.
Team player with a positive manner at all times, especially towards customers.
Willingness to do what it takes to succeed in a sales environment.
Good general education including Maths and English; a technical subject is an advantage.
Self-confident with a positive outlook, strong influencing skills and personal resilience.
Able to build rapport quickly and form effective working relationships with colleagues and customers.
Strong organisational and time-management skills, with a calm approach even under a high workload.
