Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental Nurse to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care while assisting the dental team in delivering high-quality dental services. This position requires excellent communication skills, strong organisational abilities, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for patients.

Duties

Assist dentists during various dental procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and available.
Provide direct patient care, including taking medical histories, preparing patients for treatment, and offering post-operative instructions.
Maintain accurate patient records and ensure all documentation is completed in compliance with regulations.
Manage appointment scheduling and coordinate patient flow to optimise clinic efficiency.
Ensure the cleanliness and sterilisation of dental instruments and equipment in accordance with health and safety guidelines.
Communicate effectively with patients to address their concerns and provide reassurance throughout their treatment journey.
Collaborate with the dental team to enhance patient experience and improve service delivery.

Qualifications

A recognised qualification in Dental Nursing is essential.
Previous experience as a Dental Nurse is preferred but not mandatory.
Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with patients and colleagues.
Proficiency in IT systems for managing patient records and scheduling appointments.
Excellent organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
A compassionate approach to patient care, demonstrating empathy and understanding towards patients' needs.
