Join Rainbow Trust Children’s Charity and play a vital role in ensuring our teams can support families facing the unimaginable, helping us make a real difference.

We are looking to appoint a Head of Fundraising, a senior strategic leader, will be responsible for not only for raising income but also for ensuring Rainbow Trust can expand its support to more families across the UK.

About the role:

This role will form part of the Fundraising and Engagement leadership team and deliver strategic sustainable income growth. Be responsible for the leadership and governance of multiple fundraising streams, including corporate, community and events. Work closely with the Head of Engagement and other functional leads in the organisation in order to deliver on fundraising objectives. When necessary, co-deputise for the Director of Fundraising and Engagement.

What we’re looking for:

An experienced and talented fundraising leader able to manage multiple priorities – you are comfortable delegating and you thrive in a fast-paced, changing and pressured environment able to focus on results despite challenging conditions.
Demonstrable success in driving strategic initiatives to develop income and delivering growth streams and meet targets, and previous responsibility for project budgeting and monitoring – you have self-assurance and confidence to purposefully drive towards results while problem-solving and engaging the commitment of others.
A poised and convincing communicator who enjoys inspiring and collaborating with others. With an emphasis on building rapport and relationships with individuals and groups.
Confident in the application of charity law as it applies to fundraising and knowledge of the principles that underpin good customer care
Applications will be particularly welcome from those who have previous experience developing strategy and business planning and have background in SME’s or the Charity environment.
Confident user of MS Office – educated to degree level (and preferably with an IoF qualification) you have a timely and motivational working style.
