Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Part-time Barista to join our vibrant team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about delivering exceptional customer service and creating a welcoming atmosphere. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality beverages, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring a positive experience for all customers. Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not essential, as training will be provided.

Duties

Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialised drinks
Ensure all food safety standards are adhered to at all times
Operate coffee machines and other relevant equipment efficiently and safely
Serve customers promptly with a friendly and professional attitude
Handle cash transactions accurately and operate the till system
Maintain cleanliness of the work area, including counters, equipment, and seating areas
Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth operation during shifts
Assist with food preparation tasks when required
Manage time effectively to handle busy periods while maintaining quality service

Requirements

Previous experience as a Barista or in food service is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided
Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures
Strong serving skills with a focus on customer satisfaction
Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions and measuring ingredients
Good time management skills to prioritise tasks efficiently during busy periods
Ability to work well within a team and independently when required
Flexibility to work during peak hours, including weekends if necessary
