Full job description

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Customer Service/Admin Assistant to join our team. This role involves providing exceptional customer support while managing administrative tasks efficiently. The ideal candidate will be hard‑working, highly organised, and confident using a range of computer applications. Previous office administration experience is preferred.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their career within a professional environment that values attention to detail, reliability, and a willingness to learn. The position is paid and offers a supportive workplace with opportunities for growth. Knowledge of Solar PV is advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

Respond promptly and professionally to customer enquiries via phone, email, and in person, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette
Manage incoming calls, direct them appropriately, and take accurate messages when necessary
Perform accurate data entry using Microsoft Office programmes and Google Workspace
Maintain organised records of customer interactions, transactions, and administrative documents
Assist with scheduling appointments and managing calendars to ensure smooth daily operations
Prepare correspondence, reports, and other documentation as required
Support the team with general clerical duties including filing, photocopying, scanning, and organising office supplies
Ensure the office environment remains tidy, organised, and presentable at all times
Provide friendly, helpful customer service throughout the customer journey
Show a proactive, willing‑to‑learn attitude when supporting solar‑related enquiries (training provided)

Qualifications

Proven office or administrative experience is preferred
Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Google Workspace
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
Good typing speed with strong accuracy for efficient data entry
Clear communication skills with professional phone etiquette
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment
Hard‑working, reliable, and able to manage tasks efficiently
Highly organised with strong attention to detail
Willingness to learn and adapt within a growing solar PV business
A proactive approach to problem‑solving
Knowledge of Solar PV or renewable energy is beneficial but not required
