Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to provide high-quality support to individuals within care homes and in their own homes. The successful candidate will play a vital role in assisting residents with daily activities, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people's lives while developing valuable skills in the care sector.

Responsibilities

Assist residents with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
Support individuals with mobility and daily routines, promoting independence where possible.
Follow personalised care plans to meet each resident’s specific needs.
Maintain accurate records of care provided and any changes in residents’ conditions.
Communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members to ensure holistic care.
Support with medication administration as directed by healthcare professionals.
Assist with light domestic duties such as laundry and tidying personal spaces.
Ensure a safe environment by adhering to health and safety protocols and reporting hazards promptly.
Provide companionship and emotional support to residents, fostering a caring environment.

Requirements

Previous experience working within a care home or home care setting is desirable but not essential; full training will be provided.
Valid driving licence is advantageous for roles involving home visits.
Good organisational skills to manage multiple residents’ needs efficiently.
Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
Basic IT skills for maintaining accurate records and documentation.
Compassionate nature with a genuine interest in caring for others.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also demonstrating independence when required.
Flexibility to work shifts that may include mornings, afternoons, or evenings, depending on service needs. This role offers an enriching environment where your skills can develop while making a positive impact on people's lives through dedicated care and support.

Pay: £13.45 per hour

Expected hours: 36 per week
