Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Full Time Mechanic Level 2/3 to join our maintenance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of vehicles to ensure optimal operational efficiency. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a skilled mechanic to work in a dynamic environment, utilising their technical expertise and problem-solving abilities. Candidates must possess strong mechanical knowledge, experience with various tools, and a commitment to safety and quality standards.

Duties

Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on vehicles
Diagnose faults using schematics and technical manuals
Repair or replace faulty components using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment
Assemble new equipment or parts according to specifications
Perform complex repairs including welding, mechanical adjustments, and component replacements
Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities and repairs performed
Assist in the installation of new machinery and upgrades
Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and company policies
Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with team members and clients regarding repair status and issues
Handle heavy lifting safely when moving or installing equipment

Skills

Proficient in reading schematics and technical diagrams
Strong mechanical knowledge across various systems and machinery
Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment
Experience with assembly, disassembly, and maintenance of industrial equipment
Ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical issues efficiently
Knowledge of safety procedures related to heavy lifting and equipment repair
Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail
Good communication skills for effective teamwork and customer interaction
Physical fitness to perform heavy lifting and work in demanding environments

This position requires a proactive approach, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of safety. The ideal candidate will be adaptable, reliable, and eager to contribute their expertise to ensure the smooth operation of our facilities.

Pay: £13.00-£15.00 per hour
